How to Run a Contest on YouTube
When you record your video, ask your viewers to leave a comment on your videos and tell them that you'll pick the winner(s) by a specific cut-off date.
If you want to be more specific, give them a multiple choice question, or ask them to write down the correct answer to an open-ended question in the comments.
This will allow you to limit the selection of potential winners to only those who answered correctly.
How to Select One or Multiple Winners With Tubebuddy
Go to YouTube Studio and open the Content tab.
Hover your mouse over the video that you want to run your contest on until the TubeBuddy icon appears.
From the Misc section, click on Pick a Winner.
This will open a popup where you can select if you want to consider all comments, or just those that contain a specific word or phrase, in the later case, type out the winning phrase in the text field.
Once you're happy, click the green "Pick a Winner" button.
Please note, this will only work if your video actually has comments.
If your video has matching comments, TubeBuddy will now select a person at random as the winner.
You can select multiple winners, by hitting the Pick Another Winner button as many times as you'd like.
