Tubebuddy Channel Valuation

What Is Tubebuddy's Channel Valuation Tool and How Does It Work

If you want to know how much to charge brands for a dedicated video or a shoutout, this TubeBuddy tool can help you to establish a baseline for how much you should charge as a minimum.

You can also use it as a benchmark tool to see how your channel valuation changes over time as your channel grows to earn more money with your YouTube channel.

TubeBuddy Channel Valuation doesn't work without a paid Social Bluebook Pro account.

Should You Pay for Social Bluebook

The problem… This feature is only available to creators who are paying for a Social Bluebook subscription, which at this time would cost you $19.95 per month.

Is it worth it? Probably not...

There are much better ways to calculate how much you should charge to promote someone's product in one of your videos.

In fact, I am going to give you one formula right now.

How Much Should You Charge for a YouTube Video Ad

Based on your channel's performance and engagement overall, estimate the number of views you should expect for the video that should be promoted.

So let's say you would expect 10,000 to 20,000 views. Divide this number by 1,000 to calculate your CPM (cost per thousand impressions). You'll get 10 to 20 units of 1,000.

Next, open up YouTube Studio and have a look at your Revenue section. If you are already monetized, you will be able to see your CPM in the top-right corner. That's the minimum CPM you should ask for.

Alternatively, you could base your quote on common influencer marketing CPM ranges of $20 to $50.

Once you have selected which CPM rate you would like to quote, multiply this number with your estimated number of units of 1,000 from earlier, in our example we calculate 10 to 20 units.

Example: With a CPM of $20, you should ask for $200 to $400 for one video.

Next Steps

In my opinion, TubeBuddy's Channel Valuation tool, and for that matter, a paid Social Bluebook subscription, isn't all that useful.

It's much better to do your due diligence and learn how to calculate your video ad quotes based on your channel's performance.

That being said, TubeBuddy is still a wonderful tool that has hundreds of incredibly useful tools that can help your channel. I recommend reading my full TubeBuddy review article to learn how I used it to grow my YouTube channel.
